A little information about WichIT;
My name is Michael Sticpewich and I am WichIT. I
develop web based applications and have many years experience in
delivering robust, easy to use and responsive solutions.
HMV
and SANITY

I was solely responsible for the development and
continued maintenance of the application behind the HMV Australia online store, www.hmv.com.au.
Although this site has now been closed the application and fulfillment
functions are still utilized by the Sanity site,
www.sanity.com.au. So in effect, my application has been utilized
since 1999 by one of the largest music retailing sites in Australia.
The application I have developed for HMV Australia / Sanity is fully
featured and includes mechanisms for:
- Sales Campaigns
- Cross selling
- Wish list
- Newsletter
- Complex yet easy to use search engine
- Integration with store systems for inventory
control and product catalogue
- Painless and timely fulfillment of orders
including invoicing and payment processing
- A variety of payment methods including
PayPal
- One of the first merchants to implement the
Verified By Visa, and MasterCard SecureCode card authentication
schemes
- Replication of data from site server to
fulfillment server
- There are many more features
In 2005 the HMV Australia online store application was
installed and continues to be used by HMV Hong Kong,
www.hmv.com.hk.
While at HMV and subsequently Sanity I have also developed a variety of
tools including Intranet solutions which are enjoyed by the Sanity store
network. Some notable functions, not all, which run under the auspice of the
Intranet are:
- Purchase Order System
- Loss Prevention Reporting
- Stock Return Logistic Tracking
- Key Performance Indicator Reporting
Bras 'n'
Things now use the same Intranet
solution for their stores.
KLAC
Since
2004 I have been helping out the team at Kur-Ring-Gai Little Athletics
Centre, KLAC, with their IT requirements. I have developed and continue
to maintain their web site at
www.klac.org.au. This site is utilized extensively by all
stakeholders in the centre, from athletes through to age managers and
registrar. Some key features of the site are:
- The site allows the athletes to look up
their results, usually on the day of competition. Results include
PB's award levels and records. The result data is quickly and easily
exported from the centre data management application, LAD, and
uploaded to the site on Saturday afternoon.
- Age Managers are able to access a secure
area to view and download athlete contact reports, ranking reports
and the like.
- Athletes can be registered online with the
registrar being able to download the registrations from the site and
upload them into the centre data management application, LAD.
- Athletes and interested parties can
subscribe to the KLAC newsletter on the site and the publicity
officer can quickly and easily distribute those newsletters via the
site.
- Athletes can easily look up their results
on-line; e.g. viewing their results by date, personal bests or
achievement levels.
LAD
During
the 2006/07 KLAC season I developed a new data management application
for use by the centre for recording registration and result data. Little
Athletic Data, LAD, is used by the centre each Saturday
with one master PC and 6 client notebooks connected over a wireless
network.
The results are entered at each recoding station during the Saturday
meeting. They have a notebook at sprints, inner circle, outer circle,
hurdles, discus, long jump and shot. Results are recorded in LAD as they
are performed. This means that at the end of the meeting there are only
a handful of results to be entered in the system for High Jump and
other events not previously mentioned.
Results are validated as they are entered so that any anomalies are
detected while the athlete is at the recording station. This means that
the data capture is much more accurate as well as being timely.
LAD delivers a variety of reports and also facilitates the
export of data which is then uploaded to the web site.

INFINITI
Infiniti
Fitness import and distribute a range of premium home fitness equipment.
Infiniti wanted a site for promotion of their product range and to be an
information resource for their retailers and end users. They also wanted
to facilitate online ordering by their retailers. The
site is fully featured and very easy to maintain. Being a dynamic
database driven site, they are able to maintain much of the site
themselves, from adding and amending products and their meta data
through to sending out newsletters and processing online orders. Visit:

BANJOS RETREAT
I have also developed non-data base driven sites such as
banjosretreat.com.au. This web site prides itself on it's
user-friendly navigation for existing and would-be clients as well as
being easy to update and maintain by the owners of the resort.
I would be happy to discuss your web based
requirements and can be contacted by email at:
